knitonthenet Issue 8 update

Issue 8, the Glamour issue, is almost with us. Designers this issue include Jennie Atkinson, Jacqueline Landry, Anuska Tay, Just Call me Ruby and making her design debut Theodora Burrow.

However, we are experiencing some difficulties with a number of the facilities on the site due to changes caused by our website host. There have been problems with contact forms, registrations and the design chart which we are trying to resolve. So if you have tried to contact us in the last few days we may not have received your message. The design chart is now working.

We are however still experiencing functional problems when using knitonthenet.com WITHOUT www. at the beginning, which many readers use or link to. The above facilities are still not working on this address, so we suggest you try to use www.knitonthenet.com.

We will do our best to get everything up and running in the next few days and expect to see the fabulous issue 8 by this weekend (We hope!)

New features on knitonthenet

The errata page has now been added to knitonthenet with details of when any corrections have been made so can can tell if you have the latest version of a corrected pattern. Any errata that have been made to a pattern is printed in orange text to clearly identify the changes. There are link buttons from many of the pages to take you directly to the page.

You can now also get knitonthenet buttons for your blogs and there are now button links to the pattern index page which can list all designs on knitonthenet by designer, category or title. There will be ongoing improvements to the index page to further facilitate pattern searches. If you have any suggestions for developing the facilities on the index page, do let us know.

There has been an incredibly positive response to the latest issue of knitonthenet and we would like to thank all our readers for their support.
